CCJ features Safety Vision collision avoidance cameras
A June 2009 article in Commercial Carrier Journal magazine focuses on improving driver safety with collision warning systems. Featured solutions include Safety Vision's rear-, side-, and forward-view camera and in-cab monitor systems. Spotlighted are the SV-CLCD-70 liquid crystal display monitor, which supports four cameras with switchable camera views, and the SV-622 side-view color camera with built-in microphone.
According to CCJ, collision warning systems improve performance and safety by offering a driver immediate feedback about driving conditions and hazards. That feedback might be in the form of visible lights or audible beeps. But Safety Vision's collision avoidance camera systems go one better: They serve as an extra pair of eyes (or two extra pairs of eyes!) to offer a comprehensive, unobstructed view of the mobile environment. And the built-in audio also serves to communicate potential hazards to the driver, from outside the vehicle.
